Bidders vie yesterday for fou, an ancient Chinese percussion instrument used in the opening ceremony of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. One unidentified buyer at the China Beijing Equity Exchange auction won the first package of 10 drums for a bid at 706,000 yuan (US$103,216).
