Spaniard sets men's 100m backstroke world record

Aschwin Wildeboer Faber of Spain set a new men's 100 meters backstroke world record during the medley relay final at the Mediterranean Games in Pescara on Wednesday.

Faber swam the first leg in a record 52.38 seconds as Spain won the gold medal.
