Zlatan Ibrahimovic completed his transfer from Inter Milan to FC Barcelona on Monday.
The Swedish international striker has cost Barcelona a total of 66 million euros, which includes the transfer of Samuel Eto'o to Inter Milan.
Ibrahimovic underwent a medical examination with the Barcelona club doctors on Monday morning where it was discovered that he had a broken bone on the index finger of his left hand.
"We will have to study how to treat it so that he can play football as soon as possible," explained Barcelona doctor Ricard Pruna.
However, the injury was not enough to put the move in jeopardy and the striker has signed a five-year-contract.
"I aim to score lots of goals, to run a lot and to leave lots of good memories," said Ibrahimovic in his presentation to the press, which was shown live on Barcelona TV.
"I have a will to win and I want us to beat everyone. I want to see everyone behind us. It is a big honor to sign for Barcelona and I have come here to learn and also to enjoy," he said.
After the conference Ibrahimovic was introduced to the 45,000 fans who had gone to the Camp Nou to meet their new hero.
"In football you get what you give. All of these people have come here to the stadium and you always want to give them something, especially to the children because they are the future," he said.
