Real Madrid's Dutch international midfielder Wesley Sneijder Saturday repeated his wish to stay at the club for the forthcoming season.
Sneijder, who joined Real Madrid two seasons ago from Ajax, was left out of the squad for Wednesday night's win against Borussia Dortmund.
That sparked rumors that his future lay with either Inter Milan or possibly Manchester United.
Real Madrid wants to sell Sneijder to help finance the summer spending that has seen players such as Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo and Xabi Alonso join the club.
Nevertheless, speaking to sports paper Marca, Sneijder insisted he does not want to leave.
"I want to play for Real Madrid. I don't want to leave because I know I can be important in this team," said the 25-year-old who scored nine goals from midfield in his first season at the club.
"I am going to fight until the last moment to stay here. I will continue to train hard and work like a good professional to show everyone how much I want to stay," said Sneijder.
Last Friday Sneijder's fellow countryman Arjen Robben also commented that he too was unsure where his future lay, despite having more opportunities to impress than Sneijder.
