Lu Yong of China dominated the men's 85kg weightlifting competition, winning both snatch and jerk for a combined total of 370kg at the East Asian Games on Wednesday.

Lu lifted 170kg in snatch and went on to hoist 200kg in clean and jerk.

South Korean Cheon Jeongpyung was a distant second at 333kg (148, 185) and the bronze medal was awarded to Yuji Yoshioka of Japan at 320kg (150, 170).
