English League One club (third- division) Leeds United advanced into the fourth round of FA Cup on Sunday in the cost of Premier League champions Manchester United with a 1-0 stunning victory at Old Trafford.
Jermaine Beckford got the only goal of the game after 19 minutes, bringing delight to the 9,000 Leeds fans packed into the home side.
It was Alex Ferguson's first defeat in the third round of FA Cup since joining Manchester United in 1986, and probably United's most embarrassing FA Cup result since their 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth in 1984.
Beckford had already gone close when he ran onto a 60-yard ball from Jonathan Howson, got between the two center-backs and squeezed a finish past Tomasz Kuszzak for his 20th goal of the season.
United looked disjointed, and striker Wayne Rooney was clearly furious with the positioning of defender Wes Brown for the goal.
This was not a first-choice United team, but it wasn't far off, with Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov starting up front and effectively a first-choice back four given their injury problems.
Leeds keeper Casper Ankergren made one fine save from Rooney in injury time, but United rarely threatened in a limp performance.
"I have no complaints with the result. Leeds deserved it," said Ferguson.
Leeds went close to a second goal as Robert Snodgrass smacking a free-kick against the crossbar.
