Chen Ruolin, Beijing Olympic champion in the women's10-meter platform, reached the final of the event at the FINA Diving World Series in Qingdao on Saturday.

Kang Li, Chen's teammate, got a total of 373.15 points in Group A and also advanced to the final of the 10m platform, which will be held this afternoon.

Chen, who came as the last diver of Group B and got a total of 419.40 points, got five 9.5s and two 9.0s from all the seven judges in the last round.

Chen and Kang will compete with British Tonia Couch, Mexican Paola Espinosa, Christin Steuer and Canadian Meaghan Benfeito for the gold.

Attracting 56 elite divers around the world, the FINA World Diving Series in Qingdao is held from March 27 to March 28.
