Chinese divers Zhang Yanquan and Cao Yuan won the gold medal for China at the men's ten-meter synchronized platform at the FINA Diving World Series on Friday.
After five rounds at the Aquatic Center Leyes de Reforma in Veracruz, east of Mexico, Zhang and Cao collected 436.20 points to beat the German pair Sascha Klein and Patrik Hausding, who got 434.31.
The U.S. divers Thomas Finchum and Nick Macrory finished with 421.47 to settle in the third place.
He Xi and Wu Minxia clinched the first synchronized diving gold for China as they took the gold in women's 3m springboard.
