Milwaukee Bucks general manager John Hammond was named the NBA Executive of the Year by the National Basketball Association on Saturday.
Hammond received 12 of 30 votes in balloting by league executives, beating Oklahoma City counterpart Sam Presti to second with nine and Danny Ferry of Cleveland third with two votes.
The Bucks were 46-36 in regular this season, capturing their first playoff berth since 2006 and trailing Atlanta 2-0 in their first-round best-of-seven playoff series.
