2012 NBA All-Star Game to be staged in Orlando

The NBA league decided to put its 2012 All-Star Game in Orlando Magic's new Amway Center, it was announced on Tuesday.
The NBA's mid-season showcase will be played February 26, with the fan favorites three-point shootout and dunk competition taking place the night before at the venue, which will open this October.
"As a premier entertainment destination with a new, state-of-the-art arena and a wide array of hospitality options, Orlando is an obvious and compelling choice to host this celebration of our game," NBA commissioner David Stern said.
Orlando previously hosted the event in 1992.
The 2011 All-Star Game will be played in Los Angeles at the Staples Center.
