Top seed Andy Murray of Britain advanced to the final of the ATP Los Angeles Open on Saturday, beating fourth seed Feliciano Lopez of Spain 6-0, 1-6, 6-4.
Murray will vie for the title against second seed defending champion Sam Querrey of the United States, after Querrey beat Serbian sixth seed Janko Tipsarevic 6-7 (3), 7-6 (5), 6-4.
Local favorite Querrey has won three titles this season and could become the first back-to-back champion at the 700,000-dollar hardcourt event since 2002.
However, Murray has a 4-0 lifetime record against Querrey, winning all nine sets they have played, including a straight-set triumph in the fourth round at Wimbledon.
