Three times world heavy weight champion Wladimir Klitschko will fight against Nigerian Samuel Peter on September 11 in Frankfurt, his Management Group said on Saturday.
Former contender Alexander Povetkin lost his mandatory contender status and was replaced by the 29-year-old Peter who is currently on second position at the IBF (International Boxing Federation) rankings.
Klitschko and Peter already had a brawl five years ago in Atlantic City, where Klitschko went down three times but won the fight at the end by points.
"The first fight against Samuel was one of the hardest combats in my career, he is a hard puncher who developed further. I know what to expect at the 11th of September but I will be prepared," Klitschko said.
Klitschko will defend his three belts IBF (International Boxing Federation), WBO (World Boxing Organisation) and IBO (International Boxing Organisation) in Frankfurt Commerzbank Arena.
"I had to wait a long time for this fight. Now I will accomplish what I then did not succeed completely. I will knockout Klitschko, take his belts, pack my suitcase and then I will come back to task Vitali," said Peter after the signing.
