The underdog Braga managed to beat Spanish team Sevilla and for the first time earned a place of the European Champions League.
In Seville, the Portuguese team scored four goals and suffered three, winning 5-3 on the aggregate results of the two matches.
Thousands of people gathered in the main streets in the city of Braga, 350 kilometers North of Lisbon, to celebrate the victory. With no player that went to the World Cup, Braga won over a team that had players that were champions in South Africa, and in the Brazilian national team.
The man of the match was Brazilian the center-forward Lima, who scored three goals. Some young Braga players showed lack of confidence, creating the chance for Seville's three goals.
With this victory, Portugal will have two teams at the UEFA Champions League, Braga and the Portuguese champion Benfica.
