Six Cuban weightlifters on Tuesday traveled to Antalya, Turkey, to participate in the World Championships slated for September 18 to 30, an official said.
Marcelino del Frade, an official from the National Weightlifting Federation, said the Cuban team is spearheaded by Yoelmis Bredni (69kg) and Roque Hernandez (85).
At the 56kg division, twice world runner up Carlos Hernandez and debutant Yasmin Romero will represent Cuba. The other two Cuban lifters are Pan-American champions Lazaro Lopez (105) and Javier Vanega (94).
