Ninth-seeded local favorite Li Na felt no trouble in beating Alla Kudryavtseva from Russia 6-1 and 6-0, marching into the second round of China Open on Sunday.
With four Chinese women players knocked out, Li became the first Chinese "Golden Flowers" to win the first round at the 2010 China Open WTA tournament.
Li broke Kudryavtseva twice in the first set and three times in the second to wrap up the final victory within just one hour.
The Chinese women tennis "big one" outperformed her opponent mainly in the baseline stroke, with 58 total points won, 28 more than the Russian, whose five double faults also attributed to her quick rout.
"I'm glad to be sitting here as the winner now," said Li Na in the after-match press conference.
"To be honest, I was a little bit nervous before today's encounter. Thanks to the active adjustment in time, I quickly adapted to the rhythm of the match."
