Zobahan of Iran stunned Saudi champions Al Hilal 1-0 in Riyadh to win their AFC Champions League semi-final 2-0 on aggregate and join Seongnam Ilhwa in the Tokyo Final on November 13.
Seongnam earlier beat Saudi club Al Shabab 1-0 at home to progress on away goals after a 4-3 first-leg loss.
Brazilian attacker Igor Castro scored early in the second half at the King Fahd International Stadium to secure Zobahan a crucial away goal and ultimately a place in the final in only their second AFC Champions League campaign.
A red card for Lee Young-pyo, a three-time World Cup veteran for Korea Republic, completed a miserable evening for Hilal, the 12-time Saudi champions and one of Asia's most successful clubs.
Zobahan currently lead the Iran Pro League and Mansour Ebrahimzadeh's men will now look to go one better than fellow Esfahan club Sepahan, who lost to Urawa Reds over two legs in the 2007 AFC Champions League final.
