Bundesliga team Bremen lost 2-0 against Dutch team Enschede despite a courageous performance in front of home crowd at Weser stadium on Tuesday at Champions League.

Both sides staged a match at high pace above all Bremen wasted chance after chance. Consequently, both sides took a goalless draw into the half.

In the 75th minute, Bremen midfielder Thorsten Frings weakened his team when he was sent off with a straight red card after a cynical foul. Enschede exploited the opportunity in superior number, first striker Nacer Chadli who scored the opener at the 81st minute and second Luuk de Jong who followed with the double three minutes later to seal the victory over struggling Bundesliga team Bremen.

Bremen sits at the bottom of Group A with two points while Enschede sits on 3rd position with five points. Tottenham leads Group A with seven points followed by Inter Milan also with seven points but with a weaker goal difference.
