2. Game-time services are in place.
All the required services that are vital to smooth, game-time operations are in place, such as customs service, transportation, accommodation, catering, medical service, security, insurance, rate cards, wheelchairs and prosthetics maintenance services.
More than 25,000 volunteers are ready to provide services as well as government personnel and contractors.
3. Special-needs programs and services for participants with disabilities are complete.
The special needs of participants with disabilities at the Games have been fully taken account and relevant services will be provided accordingly. The Paralympic Family Hotel and Athletes' Village have installed accessible facilities and accessible catering facilities, such as lower serving counters, are available. Meal assistance, hot meals and hot drinks will also be provided. A team of doctors, nurses and physiotherapists will provide professional services to competitors according to the needs of various sports and classifications of disabilities.
4. Major events, such as the opening ceremony, are prepared for smooth runs.
On December3-World Disabled Day, the Asian Para Games flame was lit at the China Millennium, in Beijing. On December 4, Chinese Vice-President Xi Jinping lit the first torch for the Games in the Great Hall of the People, in Beijing. On the same day, 20 torchbearers finished the Beijing leg of the Torch Relay in Tiananmen Square. The torch relay passed six legs in Guangzhou from December 5 to 10.
The performance plan for the opening ceremony has been finely tuned. The rehearsal in the actual venue took place on November 27. Dress rehearsals were arranged on December 8, and an on-camera rehearsal on December 10. Preparations are complete.
