Johannesburg - Disgraced striker Nicolas Anelka has been told by his English Premier League club Chelsea not to publicly discuss his controversial Soccer World Cup expulsion, his brother claimed on Monday.

"His club told him to say nothing for the moment, it's best that he waits until the end of the World Cup before talking," Claude Anelka told RTL radio.

"He doesn't want to make things worse and it's best for the French team to finish hoping they can go as far as possible in the tournament before clarifying everything fron A to Z."

Anelka was kicked out of the French World Cup squad after he verbally abused coach Raymond Domenech in the 2-0 defeat to Mexico on Friday which left the 1998 champions teetering on the brink of elimination.

"My brother is a calm, kind guy. Something happened, but we'll have to wait until he gives a press conference so that he can give his side if the story."
