Jjohannesburg - The number of fans attending World Cup matches in South Africa is set to exceed the 2-million mark when New Zealand takes on Paraguay in Polokwane, ruling body FIFA has revealed.

An extra 1,000 tickets have also been made available by FIFA for Sunday's much anticipated Round of 16 match between England and Germany in Bloemfontein.

The returned tickets, which can be purchased through the FIFA.com website or FIFA's call centre are likely to sell out almost immediately, as the 1,000 extra tickets for Argentina's match with Mexico made available on Wednesday were snapped up within 15 minutes.

US fans will have an easier job of getting their hands on a ticket for their Round of 16 game with Ghana on Saturday in Rustenburg as 6,000 have been returned.
