Johannesburg - There are split loyalties in the Netherlands camp ahead of Sunday's Soccer World Cup final with midfielder Rafael van der Vaart hoping the Oranje face Spain, while winger Arjen Robben wants to play Germany.

The Netherlands finally shook off their tag of World Cup chokers when they beat Uruguay 3-2 at Cape Town Stadium on Tuesday and will now face the winner of Wednesday's semi-final between Germany and Spain.

"I am hoping to see my boys from Bayern Munich, we are in contact by SMS," said Robben whose Bayern team-mates include Bastian Schweinsteiger, Philipp Lahm, Thomas Mueller and Miroslav Klose.

Van der Vaart, whose mother is Spanish, is hoping his five Real Madrid teammates book their place in the final by beating Germany.

Ex-Germany captain Oliver Kahn said he expects the Netherlands would prefer to face Euro 2008 winners Spain on Sunday.

"You can see they have respect and a bit of fear for Germany," Kahn told German television channel ZDF.

Germany are bidding to win their fourth World Cup title, while Spain have never reached a World Cup final.
