Midfielder Thomas Mueller was named Man of the Match on Saturday as Germany defeated Uruguay 3-2 to clinch third place in the 2010 World Cup on Saturday.
Mueller opened the scoring in the 19th minute for Germany when he tapped in the ball after Uruguay goalkeeper Fernando Muslera parried a shot from captain Bastian Schweinsteiger.
It was Mueller's fifth goal for the tournament, on par with Uruguay's Diego Forlan and Spain's David Villa and Dutchman Wesley Sneijder, who both have a chance to add to their score in Sunday's final.
