Italian forward Danilo Gallinari of the New York Knicks will be sidelined for at least two weeks due to a mild left knee sprain.
Gallinari, fourth on the Knicks with 15.3 points a game, suffered the injury on Sunday in the fourth quarter of New York's 98-92 victory over Indiana.
An MRI exam Monday confirmed Gallinari's belief that the injury was only a sprain and not something worse.
At 19-14, the Knicks are sixth overall in the Eastern Conference and second in the Atlantic division.
