4. 2003/2004 Champions League quarter-final-Deportivo stuns AC Milan

Spain's Deportivo La Coruña performed one of the greatest feats in modern European football when they destroyed AC Milan, the defending champions and tournament favorites, with a four-goal barrage that defied mountainous odds.

The Spaniards, trailing 4-1 from the first leg of their quarter-final, stunned an erratic Milan with a whirlwind performance that saw them take a 3-0 lead by the interval. The substitute and club captain Fran Gonzalez volleyed a fourth goal 14 minutes from time to give the Galicians an astonishing 5-4 aggregate win and took them into the tournament's semi-finals for the first time.

Deportivo's amazing comeback also meant that another page of history was added to the Champions League. With the 4-0 victory, Deportivo became the first side ever to overcome a three-goal first-leg deficit in this prestigious tournament.
