Top seeds and seven time champions China will meet India in the quarter-finals of the 2011 Double Star BWF Sudirman Cup World Mixed Team Championships at the Qingdao Sports Centre Conson Stadium on Thursday.

Also in the same half of the draw are South Korea and Malaysia, while the bottom half of the draw will see second seeds Indonesia taking on Japan and Taipei facing Denmark on Friday. The semi-finals will be on Saturday and the final the following day.

Indian BA representative Giresh Natu said: "It will be a difficult match but we won't have any special plans to stop China. Our players will go all out and give 100% no matter what."

Unlike the group stages, the tie will be stopped when a team have won three matches.

South Korea, who were involved in titanic five-hour battle with Denmark on Wednesday, will have to find some way to pick themselves up for the match against Malaysia.

South Korea manager Sung Han Kook said: "This is badminton. Both teams played on Wednesday night but obviously, Malaysia will be slightly fresher. I expect a tough contest."

Malaysian doubles coach Rexy Mainaky said: "We are in a tough half of the draw with India, China and Korea. It would have been better to have played on Friday but I guess the advantage for those playing tomorrow is that they will have a day's rest before the semi-finals."
