Costa Rica player dies in traffic accident

Costa Rica defender Dennis Marshall died on Thursday during a traffic accident in Limon Port, east to San Jose.

Marshall died when his car crashed into a trailer in the highway between San Jose and Limon Port, 130 kilometers east to San Jose.

According to the local press, Marshall died at 1:30 p.m. local time (1930 GMT), when he was driving in Zurqui Hill sector, accompanied by his wife, who also died in the accident.

Marsahll was 26 years old and played for Alborg club of Denmark and also played with national team in the Gold Cup.

At the social networks and media, the fans and people related to sports have expressed their sorrow for the player.

The authorities still investigate the causes of the accident.

However, the first reports said that he wanted to overtake a car and did not see the coming trailer.
