Chinese Liu Xiang won the first 110m hurdles semifinal in 13.31 seconds to make it to the final on Monday.

World record holder Dayron Robles of Cuba also reached the final by clocking 13.32 seconds.

"I will try my best in the final," said Liu, the 2004 Olympic champion.
