Bundesliga club Hannover signed striker 24 -year-old Senegalese and Manchester United striker Mame Biram Diouf until June 2014, the club said on their homepage on Saturday.
Diouf will receive jersey number 18 and will join the squad training on Monday. The Senegalese international played for Manchester United since 2009 where he only made five matches and one goal since then he was on loan at different clubs.
"I am glad that we have with Mame Diouf an additional alternative for the offence. We want to integrate him as quickly as possible so that he can help us with the upcoming tasks," Hannover head coach Mirko Slomka said after the signing.
Since 2009, striker Diouf is also part of the national team of Senegal where he made 12 matches scoring three goals.
Hannover sits currently on 7th position of the Bundesliga standings with the chance to play at European competitions. Furthermore they have a berth at the intermediate round of the UEFA European League with the next match against Bruges.
