Chinese skaters Liu Qiuhong won a silver medal in women's 1,000 meters in ISU World Cup Short Track Speed Skating on Saturday.
Liu, who is from China's national team, once led the 1,000 meter race but only finished second in 1 minute 31.314 seconds. Britain's Elise Christie narrowly won the gold in 1:31.211, while Japan's Yui Sakai took the third place in 1:31.940.
In men's 1,000 meter final, China's Liang Wenhao kept the second place before he collided with Canadian skater Jean Olivier in the last lap. Olivier was later sentenced to foul while Liang had to settle with the third place in 1:48.434.
South Korea's Kwak Yoon-Gy led the competition in 1:28.996 and Noh Jinkyu finished second in 1:30.437.
South Korea has won three gold medals on Saturday while Britain had one.
According to the ISU, skaters will continue competing on Sunday in women and men's 500 meters, 1500 meters and 3000m relay.
