Chinese sprinter wins 200m gold

Chinese young sprinter Xie Zhenye who faced a major debacle against Iranian Hassan Taftian in 100m on Sunday grabbed the gold in 200m with a sweet revenge on Tuesday.

Xie, who had to face a disappointing defeat to Iranian Taftian Hassan in men's 100m, won the gold medal with a time of 21.15 seconds.

The Iranian who was giving a close fight to Xie up to almost first 150m had to give up against the blistering run by his Chinese opponent.

Taftian Hassan was even overrun by Japan's Kimura Kenta, forcing him to satisfy with just a bronze in 21.60 seconds.

Xie's gold was the 11th for China.
