The China Equestrian Festival of 2012 will run from Oct.13 to Oct.20 in the international sports halls of Wenjiang, Chengdu. The festival is the one and only world-class equestrian event in western China.

The equestrian event will combine competitions, demonstrations and cultural activities.. Among the activities, the competitions will include the FEI World Cup Show Jumping China League, Chengdu division, the China Equestrian Festival Show Jumping, the Chinese Equestrian Association Barrel Race Tour Final, the Chinese Speed Racing Club League, the first Barrel Race of Sichuan province and the National Equestrian Stunt.

At the same time, the festival will host a Chinese equestrian development forum and the fourth international equestrian forum of the West. The horse-themed exhibition will include calligraphy, paintings, shootings, harnesses, etc. Organizers have been collecting works from across the world since the beginning of July, and these works will be on displayduring the festival, accompanied by several (circus) performances and a gourmet feast.

It is the second time for the China Equestrian Festival to come to Chengdu, thanks to the General Administration of Sport Cycling and Fencing Administration, the Chinese Equestrian Association, the Chengdu Sports Administration and the Chengdu Equestrian Association.
