The winner in London's ExCeL Exhibition Center just over one year, Liu Shiwen retained her ITTF World Tour Grand Finals title by once again beating Chinese teammate Ding Ning in the championship match.

Liu Shiwen recovered from a two games to nil deficit to record a six games success (9-11, 7-11, 11-9, 11-1, 11-7) in the Zhejiang Huanglong Sports Center.

A second victory in the event for Liu Shiwen, for Ding Ning it was a third defeat. In addition to her reverse one year ago, Ding was beaten in the final when the tournament was staged in Macao in January 2010. On that occasion she suffered against compatriot Gao Yan.

Liu Shiwen pocketed 104,000 U.S. dollars in prize money and Ding Ning collected 52,000 dollars.

Top seeds Gao Ning and Li Hu of Singapore won the men's doubles title after beating Japanese pair Seiya Kishikawa and Koki Niwa 11-5, 11-2, 11-6, 11-8 in the final.
