Kobe shot 13-for-27, 2-for-5 three-pointers and 6-for-8 free throws, finishing with 34 points, six rebounds, four assists, which lift the Los Angeles Lakers to hold off the Atlanta Hawks 99-98 at Staples Center on Sunday night.
With this victory, the Lakers got back to .500 with 30-30, ranked ninth behind the Utah Jazz and the Houston Rockets.
Kobe scored 11 points at the first quarter, as well as the fourth, and the Lakers' last six points, giving the team a great opening and happy ending. The Hawks' Josh Smith and Al Horford played aggressively too, who blew the Lakers' 16-point lead in the second half, almost turning around the game.
Nash had 15 points, 10 assists, Howard contributed 11 points with 15 rebounds, Metta World Peace hit 13 points while Antawn Jamison added 10 points off the bench for the Lakers.
The Hawks' Horford finished with 24 points and five rebounds; Josh Smith donated 19 points, seven rebounds and seven assists.
