"I regret how disrespectful he was when he referred to me, it was not something that befits a Sir," Ronaldo said. "I' m proud of what I achieved in football - I was the best in the world."

Ferguson made the remarks while comparing the retired great with current Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo before Manchester United's Champions League clash with the Spanish giants on Tuesday.
