Top seed and former world No. 1 Victoria Azarenka of Belarus eased past Poland's Urszula Radwanska in straight sets as she reached last eight of WTA BNP Paribas Open on Tuesday.

The 23-year-old defending champion, who remains unbeaten with a 14-0 run in 2013, needed 85 minutes to seal the 6-3, 6-1 victory, breaking the 37th-ranked Pole five times and saving three out of the four break points.

Azarenka will face the winner between eighth seed Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark and Russia's Nadia Petrova in the quarterfinals, while sore ankle might be the main concern for the Belarussian.

"My ankle was bothering me. It has been bothering me for a while, so it hasn't been really getting better. But on the bright side, I won the match," said Azarenka.
