Manchester United won an unprecedented 20th English league title with a commanding 3-0 win at home over Aston Villa on Monday, four rounds before the end of the 2012-13 season.
An victory would grant the title to the United after Manchester City lost 3-1 to Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday. Robin van Persie had no hesitation to nail down three scores in the first 45 minutes of the Monday match to seal the win.
Van Persie found the net just 83 seconds into the game, adding another one with a valley before he complete the hat-trick in 33 minutes. He is leading the scorers standings by 24 goals.
United manager Alex Ferguson and veteran midfielder Ryan Giggs have won 13 Premier League titles. Liverpool won 18 titles while Arsenal 13 in total.
