Forer Sampdoria striker Fabio Quagliarella put Juventus ahead, but Eder, Lorenzo De Silvestri and Mauro Icardi scored in a row to put the hosts 3-1 in front. Emmanuel Giaccherini added a goal in the stoppage time for the visitors, but they were still unable to beat the Genovese club in four years.
Things seemed to go smooth for Juve when Quagliarella met a Andrea Pirlo through pass and sent the ball past Sampdoria goalkeeper Angelo Da Costa.
Five minutes later, Eder pulled it level with a penalty awarded for Giorgio Chiellini's foul on Icardi.
De Silvestro gave Samp the lead in the 57th minute with his second goal in as many games, leaving Juvetus goalie Marco Storari no chance with a bullet header at the near post from a corner.
Icardi maed it 3-1 five minutes later as he picked up a pass from Marcelo Estigarribia to drive it home from just a yard out.
The Serie A champions fought on and Giaccherini sent a shot into the top right-hand corner of Da Costa's goal in the first minute of stoppage time, but they were unble to find an equaliser.
