Coach Francesco Guidolin has extended his contract with Udinese to the summer of 2017, the local media reported on Thursday.
Guidolin, whose previous deal was set to expire in June 2015, had been confronted with the prospect of being sacked as his side were in trouble over last season.
This is the second stint for the 57-year-old to be with Udinese. He joined the club again in the summer of 2010 after two years at Parma.
The Italian media had reported that there existed a friction between Guidolin and the Udinese club administrations, a speculation the club denied.
