Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo (L) celebrates scoring his second goal against Bournemouth during their friendly soccer match at the Goldsands stadium in Bournemouth, Britain, 21 July 2013.

Real Madrid President Florentino Perez doesn't believe that striker Cristiano Ronaldo will leave the club in either the near or distant future.

Speaking in an interview in French newspaper, L'Equipe published on Tuesday, Perez said he believed that the Portuguese international, who is still the most expensive player in the world, will end his career playing at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

Ronaldo has been the subject of speculation over his future given that he has only two years remaining on his current deal with the club and has yet to agree a new contract. That means that unless he signs a new contract over the coming season Madrid face the dilemma of either selling him at a cut price next summer or risk seeing him leave for nothing in 2015.

However, when asked over the future of his club's star player, Perez was clear over what he expects to happen.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is the best player in the world and Real Madrid revolves around him," said Perez. "I can assure you he will finish he career here," he continued before assuring that the club had not received any offers from other sides to buy Ronaldo.

"You can be assured that Cristiano will retire in Madrid, but that will happen because he wants to retire here, just as (Zinedine) Zidane did along with so many other players," said the Madrid president.

Perez also said that coach Carlo Ancelotti had not asked for any other signings ahead of the forthcoming season, adding Madrid would not look to sign anyone from Paris Saint Germain, the Italian's former club.

Finally Perez said that one day he would like to see former player, Zinedine Zidane have the chance to coach Real Madrid, praising the former French international for his role in helping sign recent arrivals, Isco and Asier Illaramendi.
