Manchester United manager David Moyes stressed on Sunday that the English champions have no plans to sell England international Wayne Rooney.
Rooney, who was sold by Moyes 10 years ago from Everton, has been targeted by Chelsea but the Red Devils have declined their bids twice.
The 27-year-old England striker missed Sunday's FA Community Shield win over Wigan with a shoulder injury.
Moyes said at the post-match press conference at Wembley, "We don't want to sell Wayne."
"I have not fallen out with Wayne and the reason he trained with the reserves was because he wanted to because he wasn't allowed any contact."
Rooney instead has been called up to England's squad for their friendly with Scotland on Wednesday.
