Lin Dan, widely considered to be the greatest badminton player of all time, completed the "Super Grand Slam" of badminton by age 28, having won all nine major world titles, becoming the first and only player to achieve this feat. He has been nicknamed "Super Dan" by his fans. Lin Dan and his wife Xie Xingfang were formerly called "The golden couple" in Chinese badminton before Xie's retirement in 2009. The couple tied the knot on Sept. 23, 2012.
