World record signing Gareth Bale exchanged words with the press on Thursday as he attended the presentation of the club's third strip for the current season.

Although it was only his second day of work at the club since returning after international duty with Wales, the player was looking forward to his debut, which will probably be in Villarreal on Saturday night.

"That is something I will have to talk to the coach (Carlo Ancelotti) about and I will decide the day of the game," he said.

"I have had two tough sessions and I am getting better and I hope to be physically in shape quickly," said Bale, whose pre-season preparation was affected by injury and the long-running saga of his transfer from Tottenham.

The player showed himself to be ambitious to help bring the much desired 10th European Cup to Madrid, but was aware of the pressure his move will bring.

"Everyone wants to win titles and we hope to win them here at the end of the season. We have to win every game at this club and that is the aim we take into every game and training session," he said.

There are doubts over where Bale will play at his new club, given that Cristiano Ronaldo habitually occupies the position on the left wing he used to play in for Tottenham, but he was willing to play wherever he is asked to.

"I will play where the coach tells me to and I'll give 100 percent. I hope I can adapt quickly and that is what I am working for," he said, before adding that Ronaldo had been a big help since his arrival in the Spanish capital.
