Coming off a second-place finish at the Korea Open on Sunday, Rory McIlroy has high expectations for his next two events, both in Shanghai.

The BMW Championship will be held this week, while the WGC-HSBC Championships takes place at the end of the month.

"I have very high expectations of myself coming into the two tournaments," the Northern Irishman said during a golf camp at Lake Malaren Golf Club in Shanghai yesterday. "As long as I manage to work out my putting problems, I shall be able to win one of them."

McIlroy said he was very disappointed with his putting at the Korea Open, where he lost by one stroke.

"Putting is the only thing I need to work on now. I need to study the speed of the green well and work on it. Apart from that, I'm happy with myself regarding swing, and everything before coming to the green."

McIlroy had a superb 2012, winning two majors and became the world No. 1 at the age of 23.

The mop-haired golfer switched equipments at the end of last year to go with sponsors, and since then, has hardly done anything impressive on the course, slipping to No. 6 in the rankings. Rumors are also swirling about his split with Danish tennis star Caroline Wozniacki though both have been tight-lipped about it.
