Li Na hit through a rock solid Caroline Wozniacki in the quarterfinals of the Sony Open Tennis on Wednesday night, edging her in a very tight two-setter under the lights, 7-5, 7-5.
The world No. 2 became the first Chinese woman to reach the Key Biscayne semis and set up an Australian Open final's rematch with Slovakia's Dominika Cibulkova, who beat No.3 seed Agnieszka Radwanska in an absolute nail-biter earlier in the day in her quarterfinal match.
Li has beaten Cibulkova in all six of their previous meetings.
Six-time champion Serena Williams will play five-time runner-up Maria Sharapova in the other semifinal.
