Chinese teen on trial at Brazil's Botafogo

Brazilian giant Botafogo has invited promising Chinese teenager Tang Shi to join the club on trial with a view to giving the forward a long-term deal.

Tang caught the eye of Botafogo talent scouts during a tour of Asia by the Rio de Janeiro club's under-19 team last year. The 17-year-old, who played in the Chinese Super League with Shandong Luneng, said he is relishing the chance to train with Botafogo's first-team squad.
