Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech will be sidelined for the rest of the season after he was injured on Tuesday, the English Premier League club coach Jose Mourinho said.

The 31-year-old Czech international landed awkwardly as he clashed with Raul Garcia when defending an Atletico corner in the 17th minute.

Mourinho did not give more details of Cech's injury.

Australian goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer, 41, will fill in for Cech.

Second-placed Chelsea face a title deciding game with leaders Liverpool at the weekend with five points adrfiting and then the second leg with Atletico next Wednesday.
