The Longgang Tennis Center has 32 courts, including a 4,000-seat stadium court.

China will host the first ATP 250 tennis event in Shenzhen later this year.

The Shenzhen Open, with a total prize money of US$590,230, will be staged from September 22-28 at Shenzhen Longgang Sports Center. Star names like David Ferrer, Richard Gasquest and Tommy Robredo have already confirmed their participation.

China already hosts ATP Masters 1000 in Shanghai, ATP 500 in Beijing and with ATP 250 in Shenzhen, it is the only country outside the United States to host all categories of ATP events.

"It was not so long ago that China hosted no professional tennis tournament," said Alison Lee, ATP Executive Vice President, International Group. "It is incredible to think how far China has come in the last 15 years in relation to the sport of tennis. We are very happy that China will add one more ATP World Tour tournament."
