United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon showed off his sense of humor while attending a dialogue with young people in Nanjing, in China's Jiangsu province on Saturday.

"I'm very happy to be back in China and meet the younger generation. Do any of you watch the South Korean TV series "My Love from the Star"? I am Ban Ki-moon, not Do Min-joon from the show – but we do look a lot like each other!"

Ban started his speech with a joke, which drew a big laugh because Do is very popular in China.

The Dialogue with United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon was hosted by the All-China Youth Federation on the occasion of the Nanjing 2014 Summer Youth Olympic Games.

During the event, Ban talked about the UN's Millennium Development Goals, sports and exchanged views with young people on different topics.

"Now is the time for the youth to drive global action. That is why I have asked my Youth Envoy, Ahmad Alhendawi, to mobilize the world's young people. China makes up the largest share of the largest generation of youth in history. We need you to succeed," said Ban.
