Zou Shiming was awarded China's first Olympic boxing gold medal after winning the men's light flyweight division in Beijing. As China's most successful amateur boxer of all time, he had won three amateur world titles at the 2005, 2007 and 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships. Zou became a professional boxer in 2013.
