Badminton: Chinese Pair Victorious in Basel

Chinese shuttlers Yu Yang and Du Jing have bagged the women's doubles title at the Swiss Open badminton tournament.

Yu and Du defeated teammate Zhang Dan and Zhao Tingting 15-5, 10-15 and 15-11 in an all-Chinese final.

In the women's singles final, China's young player Zhu Lin lost to Xu Huaiwen, representing Germany, 11-9 and 11-4.

Malaysia becomes the big winner of the tournament by winning the men's singles and doubles titles.

World number three Lee Chong Wei blew away China's Xia Xuanze 15-8, 15-0 in a final clash which lasted only 35 minutes.

Chan Chong Ming and Koo Kien Keat stunned top seeds Mathias Boe-Carsten Morgensen of Denmark 17-14, 8-15, 17-14 for the doubles title.

The mixed doubles trophy went to English duo Nathan Robertson and Gail Emms.
